E-scooter seizures |

Dear Resident,
You said, we did!
As many of you will be aware, one of the most common concerns raised by residents in Ashton Hurst recently has been the issue of illegal electric bikes and scooters being used in the area.
As highlighted in previous updates, the Hurst Neighbourhood Team has already seized a number of e-scooters over the past two weeks. This afternoon, officers seized a further two.
In the first incident, an adult rider made the irresponsible decision to ride an e-scooter on a public road without a driving licence, insurance, or any of the other legal requirements. To make matters worse, he was carrying his five-year-old son on the front of the scooter.
The e-scooter has been seized and will be destroyed, and the rider has been reported for the relevant offences.
Thank you to residents who continue to report these issues. Your information helps us target problem areas and take positive action to keep our community safe.
Regards
